Supprexxa is a weight loss formula that has been designed for the purpose of boosting metabolism and energy. While most metabolism boosters contain stimulants, Supprexxa contains none. It does not contain any caffeine or guarana, popular stimulants that are found in many other metabolism and energy enhancing weight loss supplements.

How Does It Help with Weight Loss?

Supprexxa is meant to be used in conjunction with a healthy, well-balanced diet and regular exercise. The formula contains various ingredients that could potentially help with weight loss. For instance, chromium can help control the body’s blood glucose response, which can help control cravings. Calcium, another ingredient, can enhance natural fat burning. In fact, human studies have found evidence that the intake of more calcium can lead to greater fat loss in some people. Also, the Iodine in Supprexxa may support healthy thyroid function. That being said, some of its other ingredients have no real link to weight loss. Panax ginseng, for example, may be a non-stimulant energy booster, but it typically energizes a person mentally, not physically. Also, B vitamins are commonly added to supplements to increase energy, but many studies have proven B vitamins ineffective.

What Ingredients are in Supprexxa?

Each pill contains:
  • Capsicum Annuum
  • Cynara Scolymus
  • Calcium
  • Chromium
  • B Vitamins
  • Iodine
  • Panax Ginseng

Pros and Cons

Among the pros of using Supprexxa are that it is:
  • Available for both men and women
  • It is stimulant-free, which means that the risk of negative side effects commonly associated with stimulants is not present
  • It contains ingredients that research has shown provides health benefits
However, there are also drawbacks, such as:
  • There is no scientific evidence or research to support any of the claims that Supprexxa is effective for weight loss or that it is a proven metabolism booster
  • There is a chance that it may not have any impact on weight loss
  • Detailed information about this product is lacking online.
  • Calcium could cause constipation
When all is said and done, Supprexxa is a fairly basic supplement. While, on the plus side, it does not contain any stimulants in its formula, there is no actual proof that it will boost metabolism or help with weight loss. Furthermore, at the time of this Supprexxa review, the official Chika Health website for this product was still active, but no information was available on the site. This could mean that the site is under construction at this time or it may be an indication that this diet pill is on its way out.

Supprexxa Update – March 2020

When the above review was written, it was speculated then (2013) that Supprexxa was on its way out. Now, in 2020, it can be said for certain that this diet pill is no longer available. While you can still find reviews about it and images of the product label online, the actual product itself can no longer be purchased. If what drew you to this weight management aid was the fact that it is stimulant-free, you’ll find that there are many nonprescription diet pills that do not contain stimulants.

What to Consider When Taking a Stimulant-free Diet Pill

One of the best aspects of taking a diet pill that is without stimulants is that you can avoid the unpleasant side effects that are often associated with taking diet pills that contain stimulants, such as caffeine. Among these adverse effects include:
  • Insomnia
  • Jitters
  • Nervousness
  • Anxiety
  • Headache
  • Digestive upset
  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Heart palpitations
That being said, one of the biggest drawbacks of taking a diet pill that is without stimulants is that you are unlikely to experience true thermogenic and metabolism boosting effects. Research has found that the regular consumption of caffeine can benefit weight loss and weight maintenance, with high caffeine intake associated with weight loss through thermogenesis and fat oxidation and habitual low caffeine consumption improving weight management. It has even been found to suppress leptin in women. Of course, not everyone wants to include caffeine as part of their weight management regimen and others simply cannot take it because they are too sensitive to this ingredient. For this reason, diet pills like Supprexxa have remained popular. Whatever your reason for wanting to take a non-stimulant diet pill, remember that, as is the case with any OTC weight management aid, these supplements are meant to assist your diet and exercise weight loss efforts.  They will not cause weight loss on their own. Finally, remember that simply because a formula does not contain stimulants this does not mean that it is safe or will not cause side effects.
